There is a hydronic system for every budget

No other method of heating or cooling a building offers as many choices to control first cost, or offers the same ease of maintenance that hydronic systems can provide. This is due in large part to the wide variety of hydronic system “types” and components that can be utilized in a water-based HVAC system.

These many different methods of delivery range from radiators and fan coil units to radiant (in-floor, in-wall, in-ceiling) and chilled beams, and everything in between. Hydronic systems also allow for a wide selection of generation equipment to provide heating or cooling capacity from any fuel source, including renewables. A plethora of options is even available for the piping that carries water throughout a building.

Maintenance of a hydronic system is very simple because components are not proprietary, and the system does not become obsolete in a few short years. Because the parts used in a hydronic system are universal, so is the service and installation training required for technicians. Training and experience are not specific to a brand, unlike some other HVAC system types, so you’re not locked into a specific brand, designated contractor, or service provider.

Beyond the mechanics, hydronic systems integrate seamlessly into even the most ambitious architectural design without sacrificing performance. Achieving the highest of environmental conscious designs (LEED, Zero Net Energy) is more achievable with a water-based system.

Simply put, no other system offers as many options to control first and continuing costs while achieving your design goals. Hydronic systems offer a true, high-value solution for the life of the building.
